The fountain on the Main Market

The famous fountain built of glass plates was created in the western part of the Wrocław Market thanks to the initiative and stubbornness of the then president of the city, Bogdan Zdrojewski. In spite of the opinion of historians and architects, the president decided to put a fountain on the market at the beginning only for a transitional period. It is a fact that it still functions today as one of the symbols of Wroclaw and a real tourist attraction especially on hot days.

Restaurants and Cafe at the Old Market

Restaurants, pubs and clubs that are crowding the Market are especially visible during the summer season, when there are numerous tables with parasols outside. Despite European prices, it is often difficult to find a place for them. The price of a dinner with a dessert for one person is an expense of 50-150 PLN. Drinks and ice-cream are also not the cheapest, but many people use this option to admire the beauty of historic tenement houses during consumption. The streets surrounding the Marketplace hide a lot of cheaper restaurants, pubs and bars in their tenement houses. It's worth taking a few minutes' walk and you can have a good meal at a reasonable price.
